New Detroit is focused on ensuring that all young people have access to equal opportunities to succeed in life. At New Detroit, we work hard to eliminate disparities that may limit opportunities for youth in Metro Detroit. Through our efforts, we create equitable opportunities for positive youth experiences with emphasis on the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills to appropriately navigate through life. Camp EnterpriseCamp Enterprise is a business camp that introduces young people to the skills required to become entrepreneurs. More importantly, Camp Enterprise provides a space where young people feel safe, valued, and accomplished while making connections with peers and mentors who have achieved a certain measure of success in the business world. For more information on Camp Enterprise, click here.Banking On Our Future New Detroit partners with Operation HOPE’s Banking On Our Future (BOOF), a financial literacy program available to all Detroit students. This program provides young people with education around money and credit such that they can be empowered to make smart financial decisions. New Detroit firmly believes that preparing our young people to become fiscally responsible adults through education and opportunities will help prepare our region for a global economy. Detroit Urban Debate League New Detroit is a partner with the Detroit Chapter of the Urban Debate League. As a member of the National Association of Urban Debate Leagues, the mission of the Detroit Urban Debate League is “to facilitate participation in organized debate activities for as many urban students as possible.” More information on the Detroit Urban Debate League is available here.
