Multicultural Leadership Series In the News
New Detroit announces 26th Multicultural Leadership Series
This series develops cultural competency, an ability that helps you understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures.

Dive into actionable strategies designed to break barriers, dismantle systemic inequities, and build workplaces that celebrate diversity and innovation.
By joining, you’ll gain hands-on tools and expert insights to influence change, whether you’re advocating for equity in boardrooms, reshaping organizational policies, or fostering a culture of belonging. Transform challenges into opportunities and position yourself as a leader equipped to navigate and thrive in today’s dynamic, multicultural environment.
Leaders That Should Attend
TRANSFORMING LEADERSHIP THROUGH MULTICULTURAL EXPERIENCES.
The Multicultural Leadership Series empowers leaders to navigate the complexities of cultural diversity with confidence and skill. Participants attend an orientation, six day-long sessions, and a recognition ceremony, over the course of one year. Each session offers an in-depth look at the history, culture, and socioeconomic issues of the following communities: African-American, Arab, Asian, Chaldean, Latino, Jewish and Native American.
Designed for forward-thinking leaders, this series bridges cultural gaps and equips organizations with actionable frameworks to meet the needs of diverse teams and stakeholders. It’s an experience designed to build a strong and on-going leadership network among people from various racial and cultural communities in metropolitan Detroit. Sessions are held at different locations representative of the ethnic culture participants will learn about for that day.
